After completing a consulting engagement with one of Bay Area clients, I was asked to speak at the company’s annual IT Tech Conference. The topic was both a review of the results – but also why those results were important to the corporate objective of simplifying IT. The topic: Simplify IT with IT Service Management.

In this introduction to service management, we will discuss what service management is, why it is important and what is in the scope of service management. IT Service Management provides a structured approach to key processes that collect the data needed to analyze, improve, and simplify IT.

Service management is growing in importance to IT professionals and this session will introduce you to the topics and begin to develop your overall understanding of how you and your organization will benefit from service management.
